Install Guide

Up and running in a minute

There is nothing to install — the menu is a standalone program that runs next to the game.

  1. Download the EXE

Get the latest version from the download page. No archive, no installer — just one file.

  2. Run the menu first

Double-click modest-menu.exe before starting the game. A console window confirms it is running.

  3. Start GTA V

Launch the game and load into Story Mode or GTA Online.

  4. Open the menu in-game

Press F5 — the menu appears as an overlay. Navigate with the numpad keys below.

Troubleshooting

Common problems

The menu does not open

Make sure you started the EXE before the game, the game is fully loaded, and try running the menu as administrator. Check that your game is on the latest official update.

Antivirus blocks the EXE

External game tools often trigger heuristic warnings. If you downloaded from this page and trust the source, add an exception for the EXE — otherwise do not run it.

Stopped working after a GTA update

Every game patch needs a matching menu update. Stop using the old version and wait until an updated release is available on the download page.
